South Plainfield – Lena Letitia “Tish” Bladon, 92, passed away on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at JFK Hartwyk at Cedar Brook in Plainfield. Born and raised in South Plainfield to the late Robert Randolph Sr. and Lena Beatrice Pyatt, Tish has been a lifetime resident of the borough.

For many years, Tish worked in numerous factories as a seamstress. Later in life, Tish worked in the cafeteria of the South Plainfield Schools. She was the former President of the Middlesex County American Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the South Plainfield First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and knitting and belonged to the Dunellen American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

Predeceased by her husband Frederick G. Bladon, Jr and her brother Robert Randolph, Jr., Tish leaves behind her children; Mary Cella and her husband Alan of Ringwood and Frederick III and his wife Elaine of South Plainfield, four grandchildren; Mark, Dawn, Dana and Jessica and five great-grandchildren; Christian, Catalina, Joseph, Violet and Gabriel.

Visitation will be held in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 beginning 9:30 am.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 beginning 10:00 am in the funeral home followed by burial alongside her husband in the family plot of Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains. In lieu of flowers, donations sent to the First Baptist Church of South Plainfield, 201 Hamilton Boulevard, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 would be appreciated.
