Maria was a beautiful woman and a good friend. A generous person and a gracious hostess, she enjoyed opening her home and her heart to others. Deserving pride was always taken in herself, her family and her home. When we were both battling cancer, I remember her strength and conviction, as well as her caring and compassion for my struggle. I remember when Lexi did my makeup for formal and her mom was there telling me how beautiful I was and that is one of the many reasons I was so confident that night and I remember last year when the pageant came around I was in lexis room and her mom helped me out so much she is the reason I made top ten she was my pageant mama ❤️ And I love her endlessly

When I was younger I would be at the Buccellato household every weekend. This family treated me as if I was one of their own; from our day trips to New York, weeks in Florida, and everything in between - I am so thankful that the Buccellatos are a part of my heart forever. Teta Maja, thank you for being such a role model while I was growing up, and for treating me with so much love. I remember whenever I would sleep over, Lexi and I would get showered and then you’d sit us up on the counter and braid our hair. I remember how you would always take countless photos of us to preserve memories at which I look back at today. I remember how thankful I was to have people who I considered my second family. May your kind soul rest in peace. God Bless.

I was fortunate to meet Maria once or twice since her living on Beechwood and I on Grant. She was so gracious to show me some of her magnificent home. I am so very, very sorry that she and her family had to endure her illness. I'm sure she was as beautiful inside as out. Peace be wth all of you
