Aloysius “Alois” Mueller, 81, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family.
Born in Windheim, Germany to the late August and Agnes Müller, he came to the United States in 1959 on his 25th birthday to join his soon to be bride, Veronika. They married in 1960 and resided in Irvington, before settling in Piscataway in 1967 where they raised their family.
Alois started his career as a Tool and Die maker with J.G. Tilp in 1960, and continued working for various companies up until his retirement in 1999.
Mr. Mueller was a devout communicant of Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church in Piscataway since 1967, and was a member of the Holy Name Society.
Alois was an avid soccer player, coach, and fan. He was a lifetime member of the TSV Windheim Fußball in Germany, member of the Newark Soccer Club, Union County Soccer Club, and a lifetime member of the Deutcher Club of Clark, NJ. He enjoyed the quality time spent with his family, especially with his cherished grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his dear siblings, Willbald Müller, Lothar Müller, Berthold Müller, and Otti Müller.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years, Veronika Vetter Mueller, his loving daughters, Isabella Metrokotsas and husband Michael, and Christine Alves and husband Anthony, and his six cherished grandchildren, Michael, Katharina, Alexander, Gabrielle, Julia, and Stephanie, his dear siblings Hildegard Glöckl and Eduard Müller, and many extended family and dear friends, both in the U.S. and Germany.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Piscataway Funeral Home , 18 Stelton Road, Piscataway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, 501 New Market Road, Piscataway.
Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway.
Memorial contributions may be made in Alois’s memory to the Our Lady of Fatima R.C. Church, Church Renovation Capital Campaign, 501 New Market Road.
