Evelyn Elexys Suarez "Shy", 24, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on October 5, 2017 and gave the gift of life through organ donation.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, She spent her childhood in North Plainfield before moving to Apopka, Florida where she resided for some time before returning to North Plainfield. Shy loved to dance, listen to music, and befriended anyone. She loved animals and constantly picked up strays. Shy demonstrated unending compassion in her daily life.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Maria L. Martinez.
Surviving are her loving mother, Marybelle "Mary" Suarez and step-father Joseph Ghanem, her father, Dan-El, and wife, Kelly, maternal grandfather, Jaime Maldonado, and wife, Olga, paternal grandmother, Evelyn and step-grandfather Juan Gracia, her siblings, Dan-El, Michael, Jaszmin DeFreitas DiMasi, and husband, Anthony, her nephews, Dan-El and Mayson, the mother of her nephews, Krystal Suarez, aunts and uncles, Gloribelle "Gloria" Maldonado, and husband, Jose F. Zamudio, Haydee Maldonado, Jaime Maldonado and Alfonso Maldonado. Her ferret, Mewtu, whom she adored and a host of cousins, god brothers, god sisters and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex.
Eulogy and funeral services will be held at 7:30PM at the funeral home.
Shy was able to save many lives through organ donation. To honor Shy's selfless spirit, we ask that you consider registering as an organ donor or perform a random act of kindness in her memory.
