Obituary for Carmen M. Cosentino (Echezuria)

Carmen M. Cosentino, 92, of Middlesex, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2017 at Newton Medical Center in Newton, NJ.

Born in New York City to the late Juan and Isabel Echezuria, she was a resident of Middlesex since 1957. For the last several years, she was a patient at Andover Subacute Rehab Center in northwest New Jersey, and suffered from vascular dementia.

Carmen worked as a reservation agent for Eastern Airlines for 18 years before retiring in 1987.

Mrs. Cosentino was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex and served on their Altar Rosary Society. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed traveling with her late husband, August Cosentino, Sr, and spending quality time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, August C. Cosentino, Sr in 2012, and by her brother John C. Echezuria in 2015.

Surviving are her three children, August Cosentino, Jr. of New York, New York; as well as Karen and John Cosentino, both of Middlesex, NJ. Survivors also include a brother, Ralph Echezuria of San Antonio, TX, her nieces Judy Ann and Patricia Echezuria, Linda Menendez, and Maryellen Jungers; and a nephew, John Echezuria, Jr., as well as many extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00PM at the Middlesex Funeral Home, 528 Bound Brook Road, Middlesex.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30am on Monday, November 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin R.C. Church, Middlesex.

Entombment will follow at Resurrection Burial Park Mausoleum, Piscataway.

Memorial contributions may be made in Carmen’s memory to the American Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org.
